Summary
The Shop Manager is fiscally responsible for inventory plan, gross margin, sales plan, overall merchandising and staff management.
Directs and motivates the cafe team to ensure we provide the highest level of customer service to each and every person entering our shops.
Communicates business strategy and operation to all staff to ensure maximum productivity and compliance with all company procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit, Interview and Hire waiters/waitresses and cafe staff, that have high levels of passion, enthusiasm, energy and integrity.
- Ensure cafe team achieve the service goals and are given daily feedback on presentation skills and performance.
- Work one to one with new staff members to ensure proper training on service, operational and customer care standards.
- Ensures proper scheduling is in effect for all service timing, and staff members are in proper dress code at all times.
- Maintains appropriate staffing levels through succession planning and actively recruits to fill open positions.
- Develops people by providing effective orientation and training, appropriate tools, coaching and feedback.
Clearly communicates expectations on a regular basis.
- Understands, communicates and enforces organizational policies, procedures and other pertinent information.
- Effectively deals with performance issues, corrects inappropriate behavior/poor performance through counseling and invests time in ensuring expectations/standards are understood.
- Audits performance and inspects expectations regularly to ensure all employees are meeting personal and Company standards.
- Makes self accessible/available to employees seeking guidance and/or instruction.
Operational Excellence:
- develop a full operation manual and opening/closing forums that are required to operate the cafe.
- seating floor plan, customer service, handle complaints.
- direct and control the ordering procedures from the cafe, lounge and bar to the kitchen and ensure that service are carried out in the most efficient and effective manner to the highest standards of customer service.

- Maintain monthly administrative supply expense at or below budget.
- Manages Shop payroll according to budget
- Follows up timely to ensure questions are answered, tasks are completed and expectations are met.
- Oversees all Inventory counts and ensures proper training for inventory.
Product and Presentation:
- Enforces & maintains excellent housekeeping and organizational standards in Shops and stockrooms,
- Ensures shipments are received properly and variances are communicated and/or reconciled timely.
- Ensures all operational procedures relating to product are performed accurately and timely (i.e.
